Season of Visitation

I welcome you to this seasons of visitation from the Almighty God.
The Lord whispered to my hearing that we are already in the season of His visitation. Naomi gave us a clue in Ruth 1 verse 6 that God always visits His people with bread - His blessings, presence, goodness, etc.
I don't really know what you need from God. But one thing I know is that whenever God visits a man, He turns all his captivities around.
When God visited Sarah in Genesis 21: 1, we were told that her barrenness was changed to fruitfulness. When God visited the people of Israel in Egypt, they came out of their bondage.
from this day forward whatever barrenness and bondage you have been hitherto, God's visitation is bringing you out.
I rejoice with you become you are going to have a song to sing. Those that laughed at you are going to laugh with you.
Get set to receive this visitation of the Lord.
It is your season.
It is your time to rejoice.

Time is All You have

Time is the most valuable asset in the world. It is the same everywhere and to everyone. We all under the sun have the same 24 hours every day for the year.
Time is like the soil. It gives you whatever you plant in it. If you plant crops, that is what it is gives you. If you choose to build on it, it will definitely give you a building. The soil only gives you what you put into it.
The same is true of time. It will only give you what you put into it. Put nothing, it gives you nothing in return. Put something, it will also return to you what you have put into it. The law is: you shall reap what you sow.
In the other hand, time is a tool graciously given us to build our future. It is just an instrument to be used depending on your desires. If you don't use it, it will bring you no benefit but regret and frustration. What we get in life is depending on: 1.) what we do with time, and 2.) how we use our allotted time.
Succeeding people know just what to do with their 24 hours and how to use the time to bring back to them the fruit of what they have sown into time. The wise king Solomon said “to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven . . . A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted . . . a time to keep silence, and a time to speak . . . He [God] hath made everything beautiful in his time”.
Your true beauty in life is hidden in your ability to identify the time you are in, what to do with the time and how best to manage your present time in order to achieve your dreams and the purpose of God for your life.
But majority of people do not know the time they are in nor do they know what to do with it. This is the reason some lovely individuals are frustrated at the end of the day. They encounter hardship, miss opportunities and live in miseries because they lack the understanding of the time they are in and have not been able to use their time well. For instance, what meaningful thing have you done to make you future better for the past 6 months? Now, before you is another 6 months gradually crawling away. What are you going to do with it? Time waits for no one; you need to start thinking.
We blame others instead of questioning our attitude towards time. We sleep when we are to plant. We sit idle when we are to work effectively and responsibly. Students use the time to read and engage it in watching movies. I have seen men who are to work hard to cater for the family and offer good education to their children wake up drinking and smoking their way to hell, poverty and destruction. We blamed our backgrounds, the devil, government, society, and even God, without pointing fingers to our lack of responsibilities.
Miserably we resort to claiming blessings instead of taking steps to work them out. We take prayer for every thing. No, there is a role for prayer, while another role for good use of time.
Let us take the Biblical advice to “redeeming the time because the days are evil”. Again, we are to walk in wisdom in redeeming the time. This is because your life will never be better than how you use your time. Destiny does not permit you to waste time but to invest it. We must begin to plant in the time of planting if we must not be hungry and beg in harvest time. We have to understand the time we are in and learn how best to use it. No matter how close you are to God, time wasted can never be regained. No prayer will ever make yesterday to become today. So, wake up from slumber.
While on earth, Jesus said, “I must work . . . while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work”. He was anointed, still He knew when to work and when not to work. He knew when to pray and when not to pay. But many people don't understand this principle of life.
We all have the day and the night seasons. If you rest in your day, you will live in shame, regret and frustration in your night season of life. It is time to accept responsibility.
For instance, we are in the time of God's mercy and grace for the salvation of the souls. If you refuse to step out and receive His forgiveness of sin by accepting Christ Jesus, a time will come when you will definitely say, “Had I know”.
We are in the time of grace, but time is not our own. It is running out. We are heading to the time of judgment and justice. In the time of justice, beloved there is no mercy. Choose mercy and grace today while breathing.
Friend, our future depends on how we use our time. Your tomorrow will always reveal what you do with your time today. Remember, how you make your bed so you lie on it.
You have to build the future by seizing the moment you are in. You have to take some tools and shape your tomorrow to a better position as you have always dreamed. And by God’s grace I am equipped to help you this month in this regard.
Your destiny is great. But you have to pick up a challenge and courage to use your time wisely and productively today.
God bless you real good

TIME ALONE WITH GOD

Latrice Pace

Have you ever seen a couple and thought, "Wow, they look like siblings?" If given the opportunity to spend a little time with them, you may find that not only do they look alike, they think and act alike.

They speak the same language, have the same purpose, visions and goals. They are simply in sync. They have found their "rhythm" if you will. I witnessed 36 of the 52 year my parents were married (until death he did part) and they made it a priority to serve, learn, get to know and spend time with one another.

It may have even taken them a few years of many trials and errors, but the result was incredible harmony.

Ephesians 5:25 admonishes husbands to go all out in their love for their wives, exactly as Christ has done for us. A love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love for us makes us whole and so should a husband's love toward his wife. His words should evoke her beauty.

Everything He does and says is designed to bring out the best in her which is to his advantage since they are one, striving for that harmony. Our fellowship with God is parallel to the marital relationship. The more time we spend with Him, the more we become the mirror image of Him. We will begin to think, act and speak like Him.

Spending time with God should never a task or chore. It's not the next bullet on your to do list or a quick consult when you're either in distress or looking for answers. Our time with Him is our existence. It's where we receive instruction, get clarity and direction.

It gives us the opportunity to know Him and become of like mind. We become aligned with His will, His purpose and His plan for our lives. Our time with him teaches us to love unreservedly. It heals the wounds of our past and makes us whole.

His words spoken during our time alone affirms and builds confidence while at the same time demolishing fear and inferiority. It establishes trust so we can undoubtedly know His character and rest boldly in His abilities. It disconnects us from confusion, frustration and our daily emotional roller coasters. It gives us access to His peace and puts us in the calm of it all.

Our time with God exposes our hidden motives, impure hearts, and personal agendas, which help keep us in a place of humility, thereby bringing us all to repentance that we may experience 'the refreshing from His presence' (Acts 3:19).

The Power of a Praying Man

This post was originally written by Kevin Bond and was sent by Streaming Faith

The Power of a Praying Man

Prayer has always been the backbone of the African American family. Historically, not many African American men were willing to admit the fact that they regularly practiced prayer at home. Even fewer could say that they learned from their fathers the essential discipline of prayer.

For too many men, their twisted quest to be perceived as macho put the woman on the front lines as the spiritual leader of the home. Women became the ones to pray and carry the children to church while men stayed home, watched the games or played golf with the boys. This relinquishment of responsibility was due in part to the misguided perception that men who are active in church are soft or sissified.

Well, I'm from a different generation and I'm proud to say that the opposite was true for me. Not only was my father a praying man, but my grandfather was also a man of much prayer. They both instilled in me the practice of prayer, and I'm now passing that same trait to my sons and daughters.

My father, Alex T. Bond Jr., was a man who taught his children at an early age the power of prayer. Not once do I remember sitting down to a family meal without first asking God to bless our food. Not only would Dad pray over the food, but he would also raise any family issue or crisis that may have been looming that day. This could be work or schoolrelated, social, or even political. This became my norm.

In fact, for many of my friends who came over to visit at meal times, it became their norm. We could always tell those who weren't accustomed to this lifestyle of prayer because they would neither know Bible verses nor see the need to ask God's blessing over the meal. In an effort to plant the seed of prayer in my friends' lives, Dad would ask one of his children to lead prayer.

We gladly did so and were thrilled at the opportunity to share with our friends the practice of prayer that our parents had taught us. The most rewarding part was that we were also encouraged to practice this habit at school, as well as in our friends' homes. But Dad's prayer life extended far beyond the dinner table. As a child, I witnessed my father leading the church in prayer as a choir director, deacon, evangelist, and ultimately a pastor.

What a joy to know that the man people came to know and love publicly as Pastor Bond, was the same man I knew and loved privately as Dad. I am certain that Dad's active prayer life played a vital role in his development as he progressed through the different stages of his ministry assignments.

You see, prayer to us was recognized as one's communion with his Heavenly Father. For Christians, it's the way we commune with our God. It's the language through which we communicate with God. The Bible even states that Jesus communicated with God through prayer while He dwelt among us on earth. Prayer is one of the indispensable disciplines in the life of the Christian.

In fact, there's a motto that we use that states, "No prayer, no power; little prayer, little power; much prayer, much power." I feel blessed to have had a father who unashamedly prayed and taught our family to do likewise. I never saw my father hit my mother, spend the night in jail, drink, nor use drugs. I'd like to believe that it was because the prayer that he engaged in privately caused him to live openly as a righteous man.

That's my personal experience with the praying man God chose to rear me. I have adopted many of his methods and continue to pass them on to the next generation!

Dad , God rest your soul! Thanks for teaching us to pray!

Looking Ahead

I am so convinced that these first two months of this year of Greater Things have brought you some very good reasons to smile in the midst of the times. Still to come is the best of God for you in order for you to experience His Greater Things in all areas of your life.
The coming month, March, is going to be an explosive month whereby we will explore the depth of God's riches through faith. I want you to know that it is always with faith we access our glorious destiny in God. Without faith it is impossible to get anything from Him.
Greater things, according to Jesus, will only be our experience through faith. Jesus told Nathaniel, "Because you believe you will see greater things". So it is on the bases of faith we see, partake and share in the greater things of god.
Through God's word we will be learning how to build our faith so as to take delivery of our greater things which redemption has purchased for us.
Get set for greater things provoked by faith.
March 2010 is "My Faith will produce Greater Things for me"

THE JOY OF FINISHING

Humanly speaking, we are surrounded by two things that determine the state of our involvement. They are the fear to start a thing: project, school, examination, journey, start a business, go into relationship, etc. We are most often more afraid to dare a start because of the fear of uncertainty. Uncertainty of success, accomplishment, etc.
On the other hand, we are always overwhelmed with the joy of finishing. Whenever we finish what we started, there will up jy of fulfilment, achievement and even more courage to dare a new adventure. The joy is always the crown won over the fear to start.
On a similar note, many of us including you, feared from the beginning how this year may turn out to be; whether we would get to December; when will our fortune come. We feared when we almost embarked on our journeys, we feared when we slept through th nights, we feared when we left the children to be alone.
But, graciously, in the midst of these fears, you reached the end of the year's rope. There is within you the joy of reaching the end. Congratulation is much needed at this time. Congratulations!
Compliment of the season is so easy to say but hard to experience. That you have reached today means you are programmed for long life and prosperity in the land of the living.
However, I must say while man may only say congratulation for finishing, God has a different way of doing that. He does it by giving you a crown.
The scriptures say God, "crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness" (Psalm 65: 11)
God has a plan to crown this year for you with His goodness and fatness. Whatever you have seen and could described as good, is nothing to be compared to this crown of goodness. This month you are going to experience the cream of God's goodness, favour and blessings in every aspect of your life. And the month will not end until you partake of this plan.
The year may not have been too easy for you.It may have brought you unwanted sorrow than joy. But never mind, as long as you arrived thid, it means your greatest blessing is coming today. God is crowning all you labouts, hopes, expectations and prayers with the crown of His favour, love, goodness and fatness.
I don't know where you are today, but His goodness is going to reposition you for greatness. His favour is rewriting your story. His fatness is bringing you into wealth and new experience with Him. He is taking you by hand to escort you to your high places on the earth.
What a joy to finish a race with such a crown of favour, goodness and fatness!
This month God is making all your outgoings and incomings of the morning and evening a joy.
